Why is this better than the plain HTML version?In the HTML Demo, products are only protected by hiding the true URL of the file. Once a customer has paid, he has that URL and can load the file an unlimited number of times, as well as give the URL to other users. The PHP version stops this problems as it will completely hide the true source of the file. Files cannot be downloaded with the same URL more than once and so provides a true content protection system! Is there a difference from the customer's perspective?Yes, but only a small difference. It by no means makes purchases any more difficult! From the customer's perspective, there are 2 differences. The first difference is there is now an intermediate page that requests the user to confirm their order or to cancel their order. The second difference is there is a forced download dialogue box which prevents the user from opening files directly in the browser. Depending on the file type, this can be very useful, but with products such as images, it may be undesireable to have a forced dialogue. This issue is addressed in PHP Demo 2! Is it as easy to setup as the HTML version?As the all the scripts will be available to you free of charge, in many ways this will be easier than the HTML version. in the HTML version, files are protected partly becuase of their obscure filename. In this version, files can have proper names and so in terms of file management, this is definatly a better way to go. As for building the pages, it is no more difficult. Music - MP3s
